What They Don’t Tell You About Soliloquy

“Soliloquy is the act of talking to oneself.” Growing up, many of us were taught that "talking to yourself" was strange, even dangerous. If you were caught doing it, people either assumed you had a mental problem or needed a spiritual intervention. Try soliloquizing in public; people might literally part ways as if you were contagious. But what if we've been wrong about soliloquy all along? The Beauty Behind the Stereotype I’ve discovered that soliloquy is not what we need to be ashamed of, but a powerful mental tool . When I’m frustrated, confused, or overwhelmed, I talk to myself out loud. I pace the floor, ask myself questions, challenge my thoughts, and correct myself.
